Industrial chemical storage does not forgive material shortcuts. A fiberglass chemical tank is built the other way round from a commodity vessel: first the chemical, then the tank. The stored medium and its concentration, temperature and specific gravity define the resin system, the corrosion liner thickness and the winding schedule. Only then does production begin.

The shell is filament wound – continuous glass fibres laid under tension over a rotating mandrel – so the structural layers are continuous and predictable. Inside, a resin-rich liner forms the chemical barrier. Because liner and structure are fused into one laminate, there is no interface where a coating can blister or peel away, which is the failure mode that eventually defeats every lined steel tank.
