In a direct supply system the building is not fed by gravity from a rooftop tank, but by a pump that draws from a storage tank and delivers water at pressure to every outlet. The tank in that arrangement has to do two jobs: store enough water to cover peak demand and supply interruptions, and provide a stable suction source so the booster pump set does not cavitate or short-cycle.

This direct water tank is built from the same compression-moulded SMC panels as the rest of the range, configured for direct supply duty with correctly sized inlet, outlet, overflow and drain connections, plus the level control and pump interlock tappings that a boostered system needs. Compartmented versions allow a fire reserve to sit alongside the domestic supply in a single tank.
